Sailing
7/28/2008 4:55:16 AM
You never know where you're going until you let go and allow the winds to blow you on your course. Staying tied to the dock might be safe. Staying anchored at point ABC might seem secure. And while you might be stable and make a decent living off that one spot, you truly never know what more you can experience, have and be if you don't unleash the tether and allow your ship to sail.

This is not to say that you are completely at the mercy of the winds. You have the power to navigate, read the maps and the signs, adapt to what mother nature has in store at any given moment - You are the captain. But without the sea, the wind, and all the elements of the universe around you, you are a stagnant captain.

Whatever dry dock you have your ship in, if you do, if you are ever going to sail into your future, you've got to let it go. A captain with no sea legs is an armchair captain. You may be suited up with nowhere to go.

And when you sail, and the sirens beckon you to return to the rocky shoreline, keep your eyes forward and follow the sun. You ship can only sail if you do, and you deserve to know whether your world is flat or round.

Peace to you and may the winds take you to a life like you've never known....
