... school's been out forever and a day, but just resumed for me as a freshman, so to speak, as I continue on now with my education ...

First day of school:  I was almost late.  The car battery was dead.  Deader than dead.  I thought this only happened to young people, that whole scenario where your f'ing car battery dies on a freezing cold morning on the first day of classes.  Luckily, there was a "rescue" and a vehicle (ah, love and support), and at the end of the day (after buying books and the like), I still had money left to get a new battery.  Other than that, school went well.  I was not late.  I found all the lecture halls and only felt slightly overwhelmed, mostly happier than happy for the finally!!! of it, as I've waited a long time for this.  There was a very shaping moment in my Philosophy class where the prof. in an attempt to really brain-f' (which is what he's there for), challenged the class by asking, "Do you believe in God?  Can God see and feel everything," and how many of us believed that?  More than 75 percent of the class raised their hands, myself and my own hand not included.  Then the prof killed a young man, quite violently, by pulling his skin off, and he quite enjoyed it.  Figuratively, of course.  It will be fun to watch these unshaped very young minds, reshape and argue further points.  There was also a rape in class, and a ski-diving adventure.  All figuratively of course.  At 8 in the morning, it's quite an active class, a total head f'ing event three days a week.

Second day of school:  Have to work too, doy, since no one gets a totally free ride, which means getting up in the dark.  Still have one child to ready for school as well, with running to and fro', which culminated this morning in hitting a squirrel and also realizing we left the field trip money on the kitchen table.  It really made me realize how there will be a lot of "well there is no going back" kind of mornings from now until forever.  Classes start at ten today and go till early afternoon, after which point I have to continue on with all the stuff there was no going back for this morning, plus work some more, prep for Wednesdays classes, etc.  By the end of the day, I'm going to make a list of all the books I have to read, all the papers I have to write, how many quizzes, midterms, actual term finals and presentations and field trips I have to do or take between now and the end of the semester ... 18 credits' worth.  Can she do it?  At the moment I have delusions of I'm so glad to finally be back in school grandeur, and so I'm giving myself a yes on that one.  I'm just glad God can't see or feel me, now can he!?!??, or is that even an option?
