weather today: the atmophere is a bit moody, weeping excessively at odd moments, then resuming shine, then weeping again.

coolest bird at the feeder today: rose-breasted grosbeak ... didn't know they could stand on their heads when they are hell-bent at getting at what's in the suet basket. saw one in the wild last week while hiking, but did not realize we had them closer to home. and finally, the finches have found our new thistleweed feeder, so there is always a splash of color there now.

work load today: backed up, hell over high water, but am only scheduled for the half of it. 

mood today: stressed, but what are you going to do about it?

one task accomplished ahead of the weekend: mopping floors and cleaning the bathroom.  grumble

tasks i must master tomorrow on my day off: too numerous to count.

garden status: "bloom where you are planted," such a fine old addage, and our container gardens seem to be following this advice, although it should be more like "bloom even if you are ignored!" some days.
