... can't come up with a thing ...
... am working 14-17 hour days. have been for nearly three weeks now. there is no sign of this type of madness stopping, so i "speak" rarely, so to speak, on the site, but i'm still somewhere out here.
with work, i am currently “indispensable," among other things ... my favorite supervisory email missle being "transcription goddess supreme."
the work and much other this summer, have all been dear blessings in disguise, but not without the typical grief reactions of a life that is forever changing and taking shape.
journeys intended, had to be cancelled/rescheduled, and those "journeys" closer to home ended up being far-reaching in quality and bulk. some came home and then went away again, wings far too widespread for this little cabin in this little town. some went away but are now closer to "home." constants remain, with all due respect.
amazing, really, sometimes how it is that things turn out even when it looks like a whole wad of doo-doo has hit the proverbial fan and you are being pelted by the effects.
how is it then that roses grow?!?!? i guess by this type of fertilizing nature in this life.
anyways, the den and many other websites and writing "notebook" documents are always minimized on my screen, so in the rare times i can spill something out of myself besides "work," and when i'm too tired to spill, there is always plenty to read ... and hopefully i will have more time to comment soon.
my 11-year-old is a dearheart and has been with me on many of these "journeys," near and far to the recess of the heart, this summer. whenever we have spare moments, we rip up paper in my studio in the name of art, or sit outside in the dark of the yard swing, planning and scheming. and in the true downtime, talk before sleep and the "unconditional" love and wet noses of puppy and kitties.
things will be forever good, as long as we manage the bad and the ugly when they threaten, eat well, sleep well, laugh *and* cry when we need to.
take care ...and i hope this summer, in all its blistering manifestations, warmed you all versus burning.
i am ever-so-slightly bronzed by its effects.
