Now that Chechnya is back in the news, does anyone remember Fred Cuny?
I became familiar with Fred Cuny because of a program on PBS's Frontline "The Lost American". After the Frontline program I read a book about Cuny "The Man Who Tried To Save The World".
Fred Cuny devoted his entire life to helping people in poor and developing nations.
Cuny died trying to eradicate poverty and oppression in Chechnya. In case you missed the PBS program and/or the book, I wont give away what lead up to his tragic death.
Since the horrible events in Boston brought Chechnya back into our living rooms, now is the time to mourn for Fred Cuny.
Please watch Frontline's program "The Lost American" online and/or read "The Man Who Tried To Save The World".
