Edelweiss Book Reception & Road Closures

Book event is a success despite road closure and mountain fires.
Today was a great day. Under a beautiful clear sky with warm temperatures and occassional breezes animal and human visitors snacked on treats and chatted about about animal behavior and my new book. There was a steady stream of visitors even though the roads were closed due to the fires here on the mountain.
Although the fire danger is still distant, my neighbors and I are beginning to pack our belongings in case of the need for evacuation. The power is out nearby and tankers are flying overhead tonight. Tomorrow's event may be cancelled as a result.
