I Know What It Is...

Writing may be the loneliest art. That's just the way it is. A writer - and this has happened to me more than once - will draw inspiration from some external source (a person commonly), but the act of putting words down on the page is not collaborative.
With over 20 titles finished and out in the world, I am well aware of the rigors. Now, though, still struggling with this what-ever-it-is (I'm about 60% recovered, I think), I simply don't have the physical strength to deal with the intense loneliness writing requires.
I also know I can't force it. I've done that in the past and it led nowhere. So, for the moment my 'want to write' is thwarted by my diminished physical vitality.
That, though, will change (I sure hope it changes!)
