My Life Is A Musing 6/4/2009 3:00:17 AM Why is it that I write poetry and fiction? What is in me that makes me want to put a pen to my thoughts? I have no formal training other than life experience and a great love of words and language. Of course, my imagination has always been overactive, but isnt' everyone's. I ponder these questions. To all writers out there I ask, do you feel the way I do? What is it that makes you want to write? Where do the thoughts come from? While I realize life experiences are the background for the way we think, I have found that even in a restful state there's always a poem racing around in my head, nagging at me to write it down! Everything I see inspires me to think poetically. I am a rhymer....with a very diverse love of music, ever since I was a child. Everything from pop, to classical, I have been listening to music all of my life. Perhaps that's where my sense of rhythmn and rhyme come from. Just wanted to hear "your" story about why you write. I believe writers owe it to readers to continue putting their thoughts on paper. This was meant to be. What do you think?
