Why I Cheated: Inside the Mind of a Male Adulterer

Inside the Mind, a Male Adulterer by Christopher Beckett, comes off as another romanticed version of adultery. If adulterers plan an affair with their spouse's best friend it is a deliberate act of revenge and resentment. Men who plan to cheat are sexual predators justifying their actions with numerous, contrived reasons and excuses. Adulterers don't respect concepts of marriage, love, friendship or commitment.
This article glosses over real issues of spousal abuse and the long term effects of adultery undermining the acute distress of all parties compounded by the man's jealousy of his wife's freindship. This article, in my mind, is a trival "confession" and too superficial for this day and age. Beckett is in a dream world and should wake up and provide a real account of "why he cheats" if he wants readers to "get inside his mind".
