To Live Well and Prosper
2/27/2012 10:09:11 AM
To see a quote from the last paragraph of my blog from August of 2008, read more . . .
“Tonight I think about my grown children and their children, and as Mr. Spock of Star Trek said, I pray they will, ‘Live well and prosper.’ I guess that’s my wish for the next president – that he will do his job well and keep my family well so they can prosper.”

I don’t see how our country has prospered in the ways I had prayed for, hoped for, three and one half years ago. Thousands of people are out of work, many of which have quit looking; homes are on the market that can’t sell; many families have been foreclosed upon because of financial hardship or topsy-turvy mortgages; gas prices are spiraling up and up, with no end in sight; violence in the Middle East is escalating . . .

Where is the leadership in the world? What will our children and grandchild inherit? I pray for our country, our leaders, and our people. Let’s vote sensibly in November; vote for the candidates we feel can come up with solutions and not simply point fingers or make excuses.

We are still One Nation Under God. We are free to pursue our dreams, worship as we please, and vote as we please. 2012 will be a critical year for our country, and perhaps for the whole world.
