Amazing Creation by J-me (Part 5)

Genesis 1:5 2nd Great Separation
• Genesis 1:5, "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."
God proclaims his first two great separations in verse 5. The separation of light and darkness and the separation of time. Time is also a created thing.
I have been asked many times, "Do you believe the Bible is literal?" My answer is always yes.
"Then how do you explain the universe being created in 7 days?" they ask.
First of all, I believe if God wanted to create the universe in seven 24 hour days that he could. But, the Bible doesn't teach that. The days mentioned in creation are not time as we know it. Each of the creation days consisted of 1000 years of our time.
• II Peter 3:8, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
• Psalm 90:4, "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night."
God's word teaches us the the days of creation are 1000 years per day of creation. Thus from the beginning of creation until through the 7th day is 7000 years.
