What is your destiny? 3/1/2008 7:52:30 PM What is our destiny and how can we find it?
If you told me in high school that I was going to be a writer, I would have laughed at you. Writing was never something that interested me as a child. I was into video games, my friends, & boys. The wonders of writing were the last thing on my mind. When it was time to choose a college I knew my life of fun and games was over and unfortunately it was now time to grow up. Its funny when were young all we want to do is become a grown-up and when we achieve our goal and we finally become a grown-up all we wish for is to be a kid again. When I began college and started my late night studies, the stress of test taking and all that good stuff, my seizures began to increase and coping with epilepsy became difficult. I began creating journals on my computer. I soon realized that writing helped me release my emotions and any negative feelings or emotional pain decreased. It was a way of coping. A tool for daily survival. Having a disorder, disability, or disease is difficult. We all want to live life like everyone else. We are entitled. I am no different anyone else. In addition, I should be able to live a happy, healthy, and productive life just like everyone else. Writing was an escape for me. It was a way to heal myself. I could put all my dreams onto paper, then go to bed at night, and continue my thoughts. Pisces love to imagine and dream you know it is in our make up (LOL). Writing helped me see the clearer picture of my life. It helped me mentally, physically and spiritually. I never realized how powerful writing could be. I was studying business, marketing and advertising, but by using writing to cope with my problems, I was able to see that all the obstacles that crossed my path were meant to be. It was a revelation. I had a gift, a tool not everyone has. Being able to dig deep into your soul and be able to express life in a positive powerful manner through writing is not something everyone is capable of accomplishing. If epilepsy was not a part of my life, I do not think I would of saw my gift and learned how to use it. Next time an obstacle crosses your path do not look at it negatively, think of it as an eye-opener. Maybe the angels above are trying to help you discover you gift and this may lead you to your destiny. Positive, inspirational writing, with the goal of helping others is mine. I love to help other people with my writing.
