Troubling!

The state of the nation in the light of its heritage.
I apologize if I am appearing too political. But the climate today regarding the state of politics is quite troubling. For many years I just kind of watched the progress of the nation in its adjustments to the needs of the people as a whole. There has previously been a considerable amount of tolerance for differences among us, and a genuine attempt to reach common ground. This was the high mark to be reached for the sake of all the people. Now it appears that the interest of the people has taken a back seat to the agendas of outside interests and party positions. I truly wish we could come back to a position that recognizes that Congress has been elected to consider the interest of all the people,and not just some of the people.
