When I write I feel more alive than at anytime. Perhaps that sounds strange to some people but to me writing is a form of Liberation. The pen creates words into ink on a page and my mind is set free. I can travel to places in history with fresh eyes to give them a voice they never had.Writing quite simply is a turn on for me. When I drive I often listen to Christine Tsen's CD playing her Cello-a beautiful CD you can buy on Amazon.com. As she plays I am moved by each melody to create in a small way a poem or a thought that moves me as well. Music has that effect on me,even a Norah Jones or a Diana Krall and yet even with a picture or a word heard in a crowd I feel at time urged to write.Writing creates in me to become a sort of one man band--playing my tune of words on a lonely stage-fighting lyrical dragons that want to give me a fiery dose of writer's block.
My pen is a sharp sword cutting through the massive indifference in a world to be the poet and writer I was meant to be. For me writing is like a fire in my bones. I cannot be silent. I cannot be put in a box.I love and need to write. Its the talent and gift from God that I never felt I had, to be the poet and writer I was destined to be before I was even born.Its like breathing and I know like breathing I will write as I want to live-and that's now news
BUT
that too is Reality
