 Book Signing for Louisiana Author

 Danny R. Von Kanel, Natchitoches Parish School Music teacher, author and church musician will be having a book signing of his third book at the Bossier Parish Library, Tuesday, April 29^th, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 P.M. He will give a mini-seminar entitled, “The Changing Publishing Industry and How to Still Get Published”. Von Kanel led “Get Published” Seminars here in 2012 to a full house and receptive audience..

 Von Kanel’s third book, “Building Your Life by the Owner’s Design” (The Positive Approach to Building Your Life God’s Way), uses a balanced and structured approach to personal growth and maturity. He examines the five stages of spiritual maturity -- trusting, training, testing, talking, and teaching -- basing his assertions on proven research and personal growth experiences.

 His books’ conclusion: We can build our lives one frame at a time that will take us through the five spiritual growth stages and lead to a life that has meaning, impacts our world, and brings glory to God.

 Danny Von Kanel received his Bachelor of Church Music degree in 1977 from William Carey College Hattiesburg, Ms and Master’s of Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Von Kanel has served local churches as Minister of Music at Liberty Baptist Church, Liberty, Ms (1999-2002), First Baptist Church, Franklinton, La (2002-2005) and Memorial Baptist Church, Bogalusa, La (2005-2008). Von Kanel served part-time at the Roxie Baptist Church, Roxie, Ms (2008 – 2011). He presently teaches music at the L.P. Elementary/Middle School in Natchitoches.. He has been married to Beverly Gay Allen Von Kanel for 35 years. They have two grown sons and five grandchildren.
