Discussing certain old world attitudes that hamper progress. Adaptation. Acculturation. Double loyalty. Balancing the act: keeping one's identity in a multinational world.

Details:

This is a discussion of old world attitudes some of which go against the grain of local culture. Extracts from the book, "The Immigrants' Daughter," will be presented to substantiate validity of argument. Proposal is to adopt a healthy attitude towards change, including the update of traditions, where necessary, to live in harmony with the new environment.
