Louisiana Films, a subsidiary of Louisiana Media Productions and Louisiana Media Services, along with Robert Davis, author of COP OUT and Legal Minds, and New Found Productions, based in Hollywood, California, announced that a feature movie on the life of Robert Davis, based on the book COP OUT, will be tentatively release in the summer/fall of 2009. Filming will be done in Louisiana and possibly other cities and states.
Louisiana Films has signed a contract with New Found Productions and well known actor/cherographer Darrin Henson to play the leading role, as well as become one of the executive producers (along with Hollywood producer Chris Sergi, who has worked for Jada Pinkett Smith and Elaine Hendrix). Darrin Henson has been featured in dozens of films, as is a well known chorographer. He’s referred to in Hollywood as the “chorographer to the stars”.
He’s cheorgraphed dance routines for such well known singers as Michael Jackson, Prince, N’Sync, Jordan Knight, Christine Aguilar, Brittney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake, and Usher! He’s also released Darrin’s Dance Groves, a CD dance instructional tape that sold millions.
He’s appeared in such movies as Soul Food (a five year series, plays the part of “Lem”), The movie Life Support, with Queen Latiffah, The Salon, with Vivica Fox, April Fools, The Last Stand, The Fabric of a Man, A Good Man is Hard to Find, Stomp the Yard (Played “Grant”, open #1 at the box office, grossing over 21 million it’s first weekend) Lincoln Heights, and three just released movies called Tekken, Blood Done Sign My Name (produced by Jebb Stewart, "The fugitive and Diehard") and The Express (also starring Dennis Quiad).
Louisiana Media Productions is managed by a group of Hollywood executives who have open offices in Louisiana to showcase quality movies filmed in the beautiful and culturally diverse State of Louisiana. The company has just finished filming the movie called, Mama, I want to sing, starring Patti LaBelle, Ciara, Lynn Whitfield, and Ben Vereen. The movie was filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a release date of April 2009.
