I will present information about the lesser known disease, ovarian cancer. The subtle symptoms, diagnostic tests, statistics, and treatments will be presented along with brochures and handouts from the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA). I will do a brief reading from "Outshine: An Ovarian Cancer Memoir". There will be an opportunity for questions and answers; to purchase a signed copy of my book; and to interact with MOCA representatives and myself. 

The purpose of this presentation is two-fold: one is to inform and inspire women and their families about ovarian cancer; and secondly, to help others see that life's challenges are opportunities to grow and become better people.
