Traumatic in that while working on my novel I had a serious accident in which I lost the sight in my left eye. Being a visual person and losing your sight even in one eye proved to be quite an emotional experience for me, and aside from good friends and a loving family it’s something that I’ve personally had to come to terms with, and one way of doing that was to introduce into my novel POSSESSION a new character by the name of “Nigel Reese”.
He’s an investigative reporter who loses the sight in his left eye, due to an assignation attempt; of course mine wasn’t at all that dramatic and looking at me one would never know, and perhaps with time my sight may be restored. They say that life at times mirrors art and indeed that’s true as writers we use our own life’s experience to weave a tale…and nothing is ever wasted.
I’m in the process of sourcing out literary agencies look for the first chapter of POSSESSION to be appearing soon.
