It was one of those rare moments that can only be experienced, by being in the company of a true icon. Legendary photographer and lecturer Hugh Bell celebrated his 80th birthday, on June 24th. And as he’s done so many times in the past, he held court, and reminisced about his legendary career. In attendance were a hodgepodge of personalities, from current and former models, actresses, actors, writers, screenwriters, photographers, community leaders, and even a rumored visit from Senator Barack Obama, (which didn’t take place).
Surrounded by hundreds of photographs that spanned over 60-years of work, well wishers continually filtered through, Mr. Bell’s spacious studio…one could not help but be inspired; it was truly an incredible evening…Manhattan style.
