Shelfari and Facebook-friend Paula Shene designed (illustrations done by her son, Prescott Shene) this endearing book to aid animal rescue societies who "find homes sooner or later rather than 'putting down' the 'unwanted.'" The story-line is simple: you bite, you go to doggie-jail e.g. the Pound - - the place with the "One-way Door." I loved the doggie-dialogue, best exemplified by the response by Mandy-dog to his doggie-pal Shadow's pronouncement: "That's wrong, Mandy. You can get put down for biting, I heard. You bite three times, you're a goner. It can happen after only one time!" . . . "I know, I know, Shadow. God protected me, or I would have been a crispy critter a long time ago!" Hopefully Paula's efforts will prevent other animals from becoming crispy critters! ~ Scott Cox
