They were slaves, freemen, Soldiers, Ministers, Artists, Politicians, Inventors, and, businessemen. They were a mixture of African/Native/black, and in Virginia were labled, Free Persons of Color, Mulatto, and/or Colored. In Pennsylvania they were Colored, Mulatto, Negro, or black.
They are the people who made up the Mosaic of African Americans.
