Scott spent the summer in a movie, portraying a sailor from 1806 in the upcoming film "The Far Side of the World." Directed by the one & only Peter Weir, and starring Russell Crowe, this was a huge-budget production involving a real tall ship, and a whole studio full of intricate sets.

I can't give away any insider details. But the film shoot involved over 90 days of sailing, storm scenes, and battle -- wrestling, swordfighting and firing full-sized cannons. Quite an adventure. Should be a wild film, larger than life, showing a reality that will shock and thrill the audience. You might want to bring some dramamine with you.

Release date: November 14, 2003.
