In the next few months two new books will be forthcoming from Gary R. Varner, author of Essays in Contemporary Paganism and Sacred Wells. The companion volume of Sacred Wells, Water of Life--Water of Death: The Folklore and Mythology of Sacred Waters has just been contracted with PublishAmerica and is now in production. The foreword for Water of Life--Water of Death is written by Richard Pederick, the editor of the British journal on holy well research, The Living Spring Journal.
Gary's second new title, Menhirs, Dolemen and Circles of Stone: The Folklore and Mythology of Sacred Stone, has been accepted by New York academic press, Algora Publishing. The contract with Algora has been executed in the last week. This title will appear in Algora's fall catalog.
