In honor of the 2008 National Poetry Month, the Houston Chronicle is published one poem per day in the print version of the newspaper, as chosen by Chronicle Books Editor, Fritz Lanham.
The Chronicle also invited readers to register and share their original poems.
Jill Eisnaugle, author of the poetry books Coastal Whispers and Under Amber Skies, joined the "poem a day" mission by submitting the equivalent of at least one poem to the blog, per day, for the month of April. In total, she submitted 31 poems to the event in the month of April, all of which were published to the newspaper's blog.
