Venue Impressions-

Last night at the Stone Church( Zion Hill Poetry Slam)

Had a last minute chance to get out for a while…drove thru UNH and was 4^th car in the parking lot...got a call from Lindsey saying she wasn’t going out…Had an Odouls and read one of the books I picked up in Laconia earlier. Essays, poems, art and stories from students of Lakes Region Tech. Open Mic was a fast affair, Matt Richards, Beau, Ryan,and Heidi were familiar faces. A pleasant surprise was my being seated with late arrivals Steve and Liz. The feature [Adam Stone],I think-from the Cantab- was articulate and coasted into his set first reading and then he dropped the pages and launched into some cool love poems.I left early due to it being past my bedtime.

Alittle whine?

Several people took extra time…Beau harassed late comers for not getting there early enough to sign up ,but then he wouldn’t shut down people who wouldn’t yield the mic… {JUST WRONG and RUDE!}

3^rd Weds.of the month…only their 2^nd show since reorganizing…food and beer and spirits ;an awesome sound & light man…Glad I went!
