ED KOSTRO WINS INTERNATIONAL WRITING AWARD
November 30, 2004:
– Ed Kostro is the recipient of the International Cat Writers' Association
(CWA) Certificate of Excellence Award.
Kostro was announced a winner at the 2004 CWA communication contest awards banquet held November 20, 2004, in Houston, Texas, as part of the annual CWA Professional Conference.
In order to be awarded a CWA Certificate of Excellence,
the entry must score an average of 90 out of 100 possible
points when judged by a three person panel of CWA member judges.
Kostro’s winning entry, Curious Creatures-Wondrous Waifs, My Life with Animals,
a nonfiction animal memoir book celebrates his 50-year love affair with all creatures – great and small.
This book has also received rave reviews from animal loving readers of all ages,
and extremely complimentary professional reviews from WGN Radio, Animal Planet, Animal Radio Network, and Animal People.
Author Kostro currently resides in Illinois with his wife Rebecca, 5 rescued felines,
and two animal shelter adopted dogs.
The international Cat Writers' Association was founded in 1992
and is dedicated to providing news, information, and education on all
aspects of cat care and welfare, as well as improving the quality of
writing about cats.
