Breaking Free is  a bi-monthly Australian newsletter  of Adults Surviving Child Abuse.It details information to health care professionals who are skilled in providing services to adult survivors of childhood trauma.I submitted  'My Story' that was a 7000 word synopsis of my autobiography Gaining a Sense of Self. It was published in the April 2012 issue. The editor provided the subtitle "a difficult early life"  and a photo of  a little girl's sandshoes lying on a patch of grass. It is successful in giving the sense of  a child's abandoment. More than two million adult Australians are personally affected by childhood abuse. Child abuse is an issue that horrifies most people. It's so horrible that we don't want to talk about and we don't want to believe it is happening,' Senator Arbib said in 2009.
