Teams with New Literary Journal
Carolyn Howard-Johnson, award-winning author of This is the Place and Harkening was named to the editorial board of Yarrow Brook Literary Review by editor, Sarah Mankowski.
The new journal is associated with BookBanter.com. The goal for the new journal will be to expand the visibility the website gives to emerging authors. BookBanter will continue as a free e-zine, published bimonthly; three 48-page issues of Yarrow Brook Literary Review will be published the first year. They will be delivered by mail to subscribers.
Howard-Johnson's first novel, This is the Place, has won eight awards. Harkening was recently released and already has garnered two awards. Her work can be found in anthologies such as Pass Fail, The Joy of Cancer, Mothers of Authors, Musings: Authors Do it Write! and the new Feminine Writes published by the National Association of Women Writers.
The new appointee is a columnist for The Pasadena Star News, Home Decor Buyer and MyShelf.com. She also writes occasional movie reviews for the Glendale News-Press.
