| This new cookbook, "How Mama Made Gravy From An Old Flat Tire," is simply the best cookbook I've ever read! |
Author and Pastor Eddie Thompson wrote in "Daily Bread", a church publication, the following: "As a writer, I have made recommendations and critiques of new books along the way. I've never done a book recommendation on the Daily Bread, though. I have stumbled across a most amazing book. I simply must recommend it to you. The funny thing is, never in my life have I recommended a cook book. Yes, you heard that right. A cook book! If you haven't gotten a copy of 'How Mama Made Gravy From An Old Flat Tire...' you are truly missing out. It's much more than a collection of recipes. I've been blessed countless times reading it already. It's all the extras, the gravy, that spices up this book. Jean Reeves has collected quips, quotes and wonderful stories from her mother's life and incorporated them into an amazing collection of recipes. I have tasted these culinary works of art myself from the master's hand. Nancy is a member of my church, and her personality in real life is even more spicy than her recipes. Nancy's recipes, comments, quips, and beautiful spirit will bless you as well. Jean has outdone herself with this book. It's spiritual content alone is worth the read. The recipes are absolutely awesome!
