After a long search, I finally found a home for Jodi's Journey. Class Act Books has contracted it.
Jodi's Journey is no ordinary story. It's a historical westsern romance, yes, but it differs in the history behind the writing. When I lost my husband back in 2006 I found I could no longer write romance. I tried, but it wasn't any good. I prayed and then one day...it happened.
I took a vacation with my grandkids to San Antonio. I went to the store there on the Alamo lot. I bought several items, including a research book that I planned to try to use. When I got home I realized they hadn't charged me for that book. It was like a sign. I was meant to use this book and to go on with my writing. In three months I had read and reread the research book and also written Jodi's Journey. In three months. True, I had had the idea for the book for a long time and worked it out in my head. But I hadn't written it. But I finished it. I actually finished it.
Then I went from publisher to publisher looking for a home for Jodi's Journey, knowing this book had so much potential, I wasn't going to give up. Finally, I took it to Class Act Books. And three months later I had a contract.
This has just happened. So it's news.
But to me it's finding a home for my baby! Glad to be back into the writing world.
Love and blessings
