Former Czech President Vaclav Havel once observed: Hope is the ability to work for something just because it is right, whether it stands a chance of succeeding or not.
I get to be a pioneer again. How often does someone get that opportunity twice? Pioneers really understand what the word soul means.
There are times when one must dispense contempt with poetry, because of the large numbers of those in need of it. Poetry tells us why everything is crazy and why we should not let a little Thing like Failure stop us!
It is fantastic, to be quoted in the Olympic newsletter. I just can't explain how shocked I am because I never thought this would happen to me, like, I'm just from Vrbov.
People think writing is about your ego and doing what you want to do. But it's not about you, it's about your reader. And having the humility to withstand rejections.
Sole survivors take more risks - while some ideas can break us, an early trickle of soulful ones can turn into a tidal flood. The idea doesn't have to be big. It just has to change the world. (smile)
