The story is told not through memory but the actual journal notes Harm kept at that time. Without surviving those first two years of sobriety the dreams of Damaged Merchandise would have never taken place.

While second part of the book are the lessons that have been learned and the new path and journey that has guided Dave Harm for over 14 years.
