The story of local author Al D. Squitieri, Sr is being told in a largely circulated magazine now on newsstands.
The March issue of Natural Health Magazine (circulation 450,000) tells Al’s story of his overcoming an incurable autoimmune disease.
Given a choice of wheelchair confinement, death or both, Al refused the unsuccessful conventional drug treatments and found Homeopathy and a non-existing cure.
The author, known for his column and book entitled "Funny Side Up", wrote a biography of his life up to and including the detailed battle with and victory over the muscle deteriorating disease.
Far from a medical textbook, It reads like a novel and has sold well over 300 copies (July 2005) in six countries and 28 states.
