To have an award-winning Lesbian Western script for the filmmaker to shoot, Sage Sweetwater Celebrity Firebrand Lesbian Novelist knew it would take something to pull this off. Simply, the logline stands as this: Four lesbian women taking over the Establishment in 1879 Leadville, Colorado, Old West Mining Town, by making The Sundance Wives historically accurate including the arrival of Leadville, Colorado's first train to arrive one year later in 1880, the screenplay advances only one year.
The script is now in the Development stages with Triboro Pictures, New York and London with Michael Gunther CEO/Producer/Director. Michael is enroute to Cannes Film Festival less than two weeks away in May.

Now Doc Holliday is Sage Sweetwater's favorite Old West historical character and we're betting that's why Sage chose him to star in her Lesbian Western. There's alot more to Doc than some might think. His intelligence just might have taken him into another century if he had not succumbed to the dreadful disease of Tuberculosis. Some would argue that Doc would have died too soon from the consumption of alcohol, but Sage doesn't buy it. Sage says an intended bullet would have put Doc in his grave where he is buried and lived out his last days in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Doc was living in Leadville, Colorado in 1879 in the year and the place where The Sundance Wives: The Gates of Doogun Hill is set.
Also in the screenplay is Doc Holliday's friend, famed saloon bouncer and gunfighter Mart Duggan, appointed by Horace Tabor, another strong real-life figure in the script, the Silver King of Leadville in 1879. Mart Duggan plays a big part in bringing in justice, his intervention abiding by law, Pony Girl's revenge avenged without Pony Girl's own hand in it. It stays in the town marshal's, Mart Duggan's territory to bring law into a lawless town.
The Soundtrack to the film is now in production by Paul Kraushaar, music director, owner of Para-Sight Records. The lovely Shay Dillon, Paul Kraushaar's life partner and Nashville Recording Artist/Singer/Songwriter is writing and singing the songs to the Soundtrack.
The screenplay is strong in delivery packed with historically accurate details and a successful attempt in modern day of correcting a social blunder. Actually, the idea for the script along with the real-life Sundance Wives came from Sage seeing something only she knows in a huge building wall mural in Cripple Creek, Colorado, Old West Mining Town.
