Las Vegas Visit aids Women's Shelter

| Although October was Domestic Violence Month, this author continued the recognition by appearing on Fox Channel 5 News in Las Vegas in November to talk about her abusive marriage and how it led to the writing of this novel. The show was followed by a two-day book signing at Von's in Henderson, with proceeds from the sale of the book going to "The Shade Tree" women's shelter in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
The book sale was a success and a check was handed over to the director of The Shade Tree Women's Shelter.
The author made a further committment by stating that, "It is my full intention to bring domestic violence out in the open. No more hiding in the closet. There is no shame to be felt here. Just about everyone knows SOMEONE who has been directly or indirectly affected by abusive behaviors. We can no longer afford to look the other way. This time it may be your daughter, mother, brother, sister, aunt or uncle or even your grandmother."
