But not as odd as it sounds, I was there to provide a non - christian POV in a discussion of where the church stands today.

The idea for the edition of Unbelievable of the radio show in which I participated arose out of a semi serious exchange I had with blog friend Jenni Hutchinson, a committed Chistian and a socialist - not a combination one would expect to find often in America. Justin Brierley, a producer for London's Premier Chistian Radio talk channel first contacted me after he saw how I routed a cabal of fundamentalist bullies at gather.com

I was reluctant at first but they seemed genuinely keen to have me participate so as I was allowed to suggest Jenni, who has a really whacky sense of humour, as my co - guest the idea started to seem good.

Religion in Britain is much more restrained and low key of course so the dialogue between believer and non - believer is much more friendly.

Why not tune in if you can or if you do not get to this until after August 20th, download the programme from the web archive. Here's an extract from Justin's mail provinding details. Most are exclusively British references of course.
