Book Signing in Nashville, NC

| I'm just a Southern Fried Yankee! |
I had a book signing today in a little town in North Carolina called Nasville. The population there is around 4300 give or take about a hundred. The signing was at a place called Ward Drug & Co--a pharmacy that's been around for 100 years.
Immediately upon entering the town I thought of Andy Griffith and Mayberry. It had that kind of flavor---full of southern charm and hospitality. Everyone was friendly and knew each other. It's probably one of those places where you can still go to bed and leave your doors unlocked.
The treated me like a real celebrity. I was a guest on Big Dawg Country Radio 98.5 and I had the little circle of women laughing hysterically over some of my "hot flash moments." I have to admit I was surprised at the response I received. I expected them to be a little cool--distant---standoffish. After all, I was a big city girl coming all the way from Raleigh to their small community. I was looking pretty "Diva" in all of my red from head to toe. And I didn't speak like them. I spoke like a "southern fried yankee!"
But in the end, they embraced me with open arms and bought my book and made me promise to return back to their little corner of Heaven once I became a Best Selling Author. I told them I would---and I am a woman of my word!
