Women from around the country are expected to converge on Daytona Beach, Florida in March 2008 for what the “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now!” Baby Boomer Girlfriends’ Weekend Retreat.

“This trail-blazing event is being created to offer mature women a total empowerment experience,” says Baby Boomer Author Beverly Mahone, whose company, BAM Enterprises, is hosting the three-day affair.  “After 40, our needs, wants and desires change.  This is the weekend where women can throw caution to the wind and do something just for us.”

Mahone says the weekend will be filled with lots of activities including a Meet and Greet Reception, karaoke and dance contests as well as workshops on topics such as Shifting your Career Gears, Fabulously Fit after Forty; Love & Relationships; Money Matters; Time Management; Doing it “Diva Style” Image Consulting,  Down-sizing your life; The Sandwich Generation of Care Takers, etc. 

“I will also be taping a Town Hall Meeting with PBS Station WCEU-TV15, where an expert panel will discuss Baby Boomers in the New Millenium, adds Mahone. An introduction of the women who make up Mahone’s Baby Boomer Diva Web of Fame will also be made.  But the highlight of the weekend, according to Mahone, will be the Over 40 Girlfriends PA-JAMMING PARTY.

 “The “Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now!” theme is appropriate, contends Mahone, because  “many women in my age group are meeting challenges head on and we’re not letting a little thing like menopause and growing older slow us down.  And just like the song says, “we’re definitely on the move!”
