Spotlight Shines on Ohio Mother during National Adoption Month

Ohio author and mother shares her adoption story with fellow author in podcast interview.

Ohio Author Debra Shiveley Welch shares her personal journey in the world of adoption on the latest edition of the Pursuing Your Passion at Midlife Podcast with host, Beverly Mahone.

In honor of National Adoption Month, Mahone invited Welch to share her heart-wrenching story about what it means to be an adoptive mother and her desire to write a book that expresses the unconditional love she has for her son, Christopher. Her newly released book is called Son of My Soul-The Adoption of Christopher. In addition, she also wrote A Very Special Child - An Adoption Story and co-authored Jesus Gandhi Oma Mae Adams.

Welch is the first guest of Mahone’s brand new podcast, which focuses on baby boomers who are on the move and making a difference in their own lives and the lives of others. Mahone says, "I've met so many fellow baby boomers who are doing some awesome things and midlife and I want to tell their stories." Mahone shares her own midlife passion in her best-selling book, Whatever! A Baby Boomer's Journey Into Middle Age.
