What would you do if your girlfriend’s husband made some inappropriate sexual comments to you while drinking at a party you are attending?
This is one of the many thought-provoking questions women are asked when they play the brand new card game called DON’T ASK. The idea for the game is the inspiration of baby boomer author Beverly Mahone, who also has a new ebook out titled Don’t Ask and I Won’t Have to Lie. Beverly says the card game is a great form of entertainment while creating some stimulating conversation. “I wanted to create something for mature women because there’s really nothing out there for us. DON’T ASK gives us an opportunity to see how like-minded we are under certain circumstances. Would we lie or take the high road? It also creates engaging discussions. One of my friends calls it ‘the deck of dialogue’.”
The object of the game is to see which team (of two) can score 10 points first by correctly matching each other’s answers based on the questions asked. “Most of the questions were based on real life experiences I
went through and, yes, sometimes I chose to lie instead of facing the reality,” Beverly says.
Prior to launching her new card game, Mahone tested it out on several focus groups. She says it was very well received. Even the men like it. I definitely think it’s a game that’s going to catch on.”
The DON’T ASK card game is being sold exclusively on Mahone’s website.
