Mr. Davis will be speaking about the recent Louisiana measure, just passed by the Louisiana Legislature, which concerns a massive pay raise for the legislators.
Many citizens of the state have voiced anger in recent weeks because the legislators voted " themselves" a pay raise without debate from the public. The legislators were receiving a total pay package of approxiamately $35,000 (base pay, expense accounts, per diem payments, etc) that suddenly escalated to about $50,000! Many Louisianians simply find that unacceptable for a part time job, which starts in January and ends in June.
The author also will discuss the citizens's rally, planned at the Louisiana's State Capitol, on July 7, at 2:pm-4:pm, followed by a march to the governor's residence.
Readers, viewers, and supporters may learn about this protest march, and the goals of the organization that is planning the protest, by going to www.legewatch.com. Mr. Davis is the official spokesman for LegeWatch. LegeWatch is a grassroots organization dedicated to monitoring corrupt legislators.
