WOL 1480 AM talk radio show, a Radio One Communications Network, has invited Author Robert Leon Davis to discuss the recent beating of a University of Maryland student by Maryland Police on April 24, 2010. The show will air live from 1;00pm-3;00pm.
University of Maryland student John J. Mc Kenna was beaten by police officers on March 3, 2010, after police stated that he instigated an attack against them. However, the Washington Post and other newspapers have now reported that a video of the incident clearly shows that the student was in fact beaten for no reason.
The author will appear on the radio talk show "Wright on the Edge", with talk show hosts Erica, Laura, and Wendy Wright to discuss the recent and past escalations of unprovoke police beatings across the country.
Robert Davis has written two books on police brutality and illegal police tactics called COP OUT and Legal Minds, and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs exposing such corruptions. He is a former New Orleans Police Officer charged with corruption during the late 70's during the height of corruption on the New Orleans Police Department. He has dedicated his life to exposing illegal police tactics and procedures.
