| The first printing of Second Chair, Manchee's third Stan Turner Mystery, resently sold out and the secon printing is hot off the press. |
The third Stan Turner Mystery has been very popular and continues to have a strong demand a year after it was released. It was the first Stan Turner Mystery to be nationally reviewed. It got an outstanding review in Publisher's Weekly and the opposite in Library Journal. The Library Journal centered their review on editing issues and writing sytle but acknowledged Second Chair's great plot. Many of the editing and gramatical issues were valid and have been corrected in the second printing. Publisher's Weekly apparently found the novel so compelling that it overlooked the technical shortcomings.
In the summer of 2002 the fourth Stan Turner Novel, Ca$h Call, is due out which should spur sales of Second Chair even more.
