I'm so excited to report that the YouTube hits on my trailer for "Checkmate" are WAY up. A week ago, they were only at around 40. Today, the hits are 1685 and climbing! Not fantastic by YouTube standards, I know, but still exciting for me. I know a large part of the reason for the increase is that the email "blast" of 5 million promotional emails started just a few days ago and will continue for the next couple of weeks. My publisher hopes for a 1% return on these emails, which would mean 50,000 sales. If that happened, I think I'd die of a heart attack and wouldn't be able to enjoy it! Anyway, please, check out the video and let me know what you think by commenting on it on YouTube. This, too, will help the video go "viral." If any authors out there are interested in having a video trailer done for their books, I can recommend a GREAT company! They charge $200-$300 to make the trailer, depending on the length, but the YouTube exposure is priceless.
