A third novel is scheduled for release in 2009 by Gloria Waldron Hukle. The saga surrounding the affluent Margaret Vandenbergh, is set in early l8th century Upstate New York and is a meshing of several colonial New York Hudson Valley families, including the Waldrons of Manhattan and Albany. This new well researched work follows her first title, MANHATTAN SEEDS OF THE BIG APPLE chronologically.
Hukle's second novel, THE DIARY OF A NORTHERN MOON, was released in 2007.
During 2009 all New York celebrates the 400th anniversary of Englishman Henry Hudson's discovery of the New York river named in his honor. Hired by the Dutch, half Pilot Hudson's crew were Dutch and half were English.
While saluting Henry Hudson we also honor the courageous first settlers of the New York Colony, ie, the Dutch pioneers who laid down foundations for forty years before English rule.
