Today doctors and scientists have found a cure for leprosy and they have it under control but in the years when there was no cure for the disease, victims of the disease were arrested and sent to a prison in Molokai, one of the most beautiful places in the world but it was a hell for those who had no hope of ever getting away.

But many people who loved them or who loved humanity or felt God had balled them to help these poor inmates came to do what they could for them.

The patients themselves had great courage, compassion and love and managed to turn the isolated spot into a real home.
