The Crucifix Slayer is Australia’s worst serial killer, terrifying the nation with brutal murders spanning over a year, abducting a teenage boy, and then mysteriously ending his killing spree. Four years later another vicious murder takes place and the Slayer has returned.
Phoenix Love is 18 years old, tends bar in a sleazy hotel, and is the sole carer for 5 year old Echo. Phoenix is unsociable, coarse, with a secretive past and a penchant for arson. He’s also captured the obsessive attention of Senior Constable Daniel Hart.
While Daniel is hell bent on proving Phoenix is an innocent victim of the Slayer, the Crime Investigation Branch is hell bent on proving Phoenix Love is the Slayer’s apprentice.
