Imagine my surprise when I received word that I was one of two
authors to be featured in CTI in September. I admire the publication so
much. Aberjhani doesn't do anything halfway. I cannot think of a poet
whose work I admire more. It is not just that it is beautiful visually,
linguistically, and musically. It is the Voice. The Peace. The
Justice. The Love. Sometimes subtle, sometimes in-the-face
drumming to turn the other cheek a n d stand up for what you believe. Be
tough a n d gentle. It is the message that Mohandas Ghandi, Martin
Luther King, Jr., Sojourner Truth, Abraham Lincoln, and other great
leaders were put on Earth to deliver.
By extension, Aberjhani is a strong advocate for support for the arts.
No wonder CTI attracts artists from all over the world!
The feature, as I said, appeared last month [i.e., September, 2011].
I planned to post the news right away, but. . .what is the expression?
People plan, God laughs? But the stars finally seem to be aligned
in my favor, for the moment. The Creative Thinkers International feature
and a sudden increase in invitations to submit have lighted a fire
beneath projects new and old. I am grateful beyond expression.
Better wind this up. Need to strike while the iron is hot!
