The Mint Collection, Painting in an Abstract Vein
"The Mint Collection", an exhibit of four of Fort Collins established, abstractionist artists and the digital abstracts of photographer, poet and musician, MD Friedman.
This sale of fine art, is open to the public, Monday through Friday - 9:30 - 4:30 pm, for the month of January. The artists will be available, working on site, in various mediums. Please phone individual artists for schedules or for an appointment.

The Mint Collection, produced and arranged by Deborah Russell, is a collection of contemporary art, which includes the following Fort Collins artists:
Carol Schinkel, Don Vogl, Norma Meeks, Russell's latest work and the digital imagery of MD Friedman, of Loveland, Colorado.
Don Vogl is professor emeritus of art, teaching thirty one years, at Notre Dame University, in Indiana. Don and his wife, Colette, retired to Fort Collins, following their son and daughter, who are on faculty, at Colorado State University.
Carol Schinkel is a professional artist, known throughout Colorado and Nebraska, where she was born and raised. She is an active executive board member of arts organizations in Fort Collins, Colorado and Nebraska.
Norma Meeks is a well-known, and award winning, abstractionist painter, with works in area galleries. Norma lives and works, in Fort Collins and is known for her subtle expressions in color and form.
Mark Friedman is a high school teacher, in Loveland, Colorado, by day. He is a poet/photographer and a musician. Friedman plays blues, in local venues, with his band, Harmonica Lewinsky. He is the host/emcee - for the fall and spring poetry forum, at Loveland Art Museum.
Deborah Russell is a previous gallery owner/director and art instructor. (over thirty years) Founder of Kidzart!, in 1983, an early arts education program developed to culminate in exhibits of student's works, and promote public awareness of the importance of early art education. Russell's works, as well as her student's, have been exhibited in public schools, libraries, community buildings, hospitals and universities, in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Colorado. Russell is also a resident of Fort Collins, Colorado.
